singersandsongs.com is run and taught by experienced and Professional Singers and Coaches.

We are not “Old School” teachers. We are practical, “Find Your Voice” coaches, who can really sing.

Because of our years of performing, we have skills and a wealth of work to draw upon, to help and guide everyone, with every level of voice, to grow, develop technique and enhance their range and ability.

The aim is to set up a relaxed, informative and friendly environment. Our Classes are vibrant and inviting.


Elaine Hallam – The Founder of singersandsongs.com.

She has 40 years of Professional singing experience . Lead Vocalist with a Semi Pro Band at 15, then Drama School Training, followed by many West End and leading Roles in National Tours. She has sung as a Jazz Vocalist alongside a Mainstream Performance Career, and still performs today. She is a well known Voice and Performance Coach.




Peter St James – Hampton Hill.

Peter and Elaine met 30 years ago on The National Tour of “Annie”. Peter has a fine, warm  lyrical voice. He has tackled many of the best West End Leading Roles. He Performs constantly and has an unlimited knowledge of Musical Theatre, Musical Styles and genres.

Susan Humphris-Hampton Hill

Susan trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and worked professionally in musical theatre for more than 15 years, including shows in the West End and five major UK tours.  She has taught singing at a number of stage schools and now works mostly as a private vocal coach.  She loves singing in all styles and listening to all types of music!

Sarah Higginbotham -Streatham.


Sarah Graduated from Goldsmiths College with a BMus Hons degree in 2000.

She Toured As founder member of Flying intermezzi Opera Troupe playing Mozart Soprano Roles.

Sarah performs widely in Cabaret and Concerts and can often be found performing Oratorios at Christmas and Easter.

Sarah is a vocal coach in several secondary schools in Surrey and also coaches children in West end and touring musical theatre Shows.
